Cornella Vineyard Grenache
Grown in the mid northern area of the Heathcote GI, our Grenache was unfortunately destroyed by fire in 2012. Sadly we discontinued production as the vineyard was beyond repair.

Not even a hint of grenache jamminess here, but powerful, pure fresh raspberries on the nose and palate, with a lovely clean fruity finish. A relatively new wine for us that has been gaining admirers from non-grenache drinkers. Another dark red beauty, yummy now and over the net few years. 14.5% alc/vol. -

Medium weighted, with ripe strawberries giving way to a slight oxidative earthiness. Colour is mid red, palate beautifully balanced, with typical Grenache meaty flavours. The relatively high alcohol does not show nor dominate. 16.0% alc/vol. -

Mid magenta to the edge. Raspberry again dominates the full, fruity palate with a Grenache earthiness. Lovely soft tannins on the finish. Slightly inferior to the highly rated ’05. Fits midway between blockbuster and confectionary Aussie styles. 15.0 percent alcohol/volume. -

Medium deep colour. Musky plum raspberry aromas. Sweet musky plummy flavours, fine boney dry tannins but lovely juicy fruit flavours. Finishes long and sweet and minerally. Now. 88 points.Time of release
After debuting with the fantastic 2004, this one exhibits even more of the classic raspberry notes of grenache, followed by luxurious fruit and earthiness; a fabulous follow-up with probably superior longevity to the ’04. Not comparable in style with any of its SA cousins. 14.5 percent alcohol/volume. -
