Occam’s Razor Shiraz – 2014

Time of release

Emily’s own wine, her 14th vintage, from a single granitic soil organic vineyard south of Heathcote. Plusher fruits compared to Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz and a little more tannic: bright crimson, lots of depth, plumy, ripe red fruits. Delicious now, but you will be rewarded with cellaring. 15.5% alc/vol

Tasting notes by Andrew Caillard, MW – 8th August 2017

Medium deep crimson. Fragrant inky herb garden aromas with redcurrant, cola notes. Richly concentrated wine with inky blueberry, redcurrant, herb garden flavours, a touch of liquorice, mocha oak and fine looseknit slinky tannins. Finishes chalky firm with buoyant fruit persistency and plenty of aniseed. A touch hot. Moderate cellaring potential. 15.5% Alc 92 points Now – 2024
