Emily’s wine; grapes sourced from our vineyard manager’s own plot on granitic soil within the Heathcote GI at Mia Mia. Terrific wine for it’s intensity, with lovely red berry, spicy characters and a big tannic finish. Can be cellared also. 15.5% alc/vol

Tasting notes by Andrew Caillard, MW – 17th August 2012

Medium deep crimson. Fragrant mulberry, mocha aromas. Well concentrated supple palate with fresh mulberry, plum flavours and firm muscular and plentiful tannins. Plenty of richness and weight to balance structure. Finishes firm and juicy. Now – 2022 91 points
