Shiraz (2009)
Tasting Notes
Time of release
Beautiful deep crimson colour with trademark flavours of concentrated red fruits and mixed spices with a voluptuous mouth-coating texture. High natural acidity balances abundant tannins. A classic, with perfect balance that can be drunk from now over the next two decades, with complete confidence. 14.5% alc/vol.
Tasting notes by Andrew Caillard, MW - 17th August 2012
Medium deep purple crimson. Intense dark cherry, mocha aromas with touch of herb, star anise and vanilla. Lovely concentrated wine with dark cherry, dark plum , sage flavours, bitter chocolaty firm tannins and plenty of ginger oak. Still very youthful with superb mid-palate richness and volume. Will need time to settle in. 2016-2028 - 94 points
