Tasting Notes
Time of release
Great depth of colour, beautiful crimson hue. Intense berry fruit nose and flavour. Smooth tannins, heaps of natural acidity and long finish. Can be drunk now to accompany a full flavoured dish, but please keep some back for a few years. More like the ’84 in weight.

Medium deep colour. Lovely intense hazelnut/ plummy/ dark aromas. Richly concentrated wine with plummy/ dark chocolate/ graphite flavours, and dense ripe loose knit tannins. Finishes minerally and dry but excellent fruit sweet length. A dry cool extended summer. A classic vintage. Now-2016. 94 points.

Medium deep colour. Earthy, mushroom, praline aromas and flavours. Well concentrated earthy mushroom praline flavours and soupy dry firm tannins. Finishes chalky and savoury. Vintage is highly variable because of cork closures, bottles. When good can be very good. The best example in this tasting was a touch flat. Now - past - 87 points
