Medium crimson. Complex roasted/ dark cherry/ chocolate aromas with some floral/ sandalwood notes. Roasted nut/ dark chocolate flavours, dry loose knit chalky tannins, finishes minerally and a touch underpowered. Still holding up but drink soon. A coolish wet year. Now. 85 points.

Medium colour. Tobacco leaf, bitumen, sour cherry aromas and flavours. Quite lean and acidic on the palate. Fruit is fading fast. Tannins are pronounced and gritty. Some amontillado, sherry notes at the finish. A coolish wet year. Now – Past – 78 points

Medium deep colour. Very expressive tertiary-aged wine with lovely waxy, polished dried fig, herb, beef-stock aromas with roasted walnut, vellum notes. Generous and slinky with dried fig, apricot, leathery flavours, fine slinky dry graphite textures, a spike of acidity and lovey supple richness. A very big surprise considering the reputation of the vintage and age of vines. Absolutely points to the significance of this vineyard site. But drink soon. 12%? Alc 93 points – Now
