Georgia's Paddock
Riesling (2006)
Tasting Notes
Time of release
A bigger version of our Riesling, exhibiting the trademark citrus characters and crisp dryness, with a touch more grapefruit bitterness than lemon tartness and a depth of yellow colour from fully ripe skins. Flavour complexity from the indigenous yeast fermentation. 12.5 percent alcohol/volume.

Medium pale colour. Fragrant lemon, grapefruit aromas with touches of camomile, flinty complexity. Superbly complex wine with deep set lemon, grapefruit, toasty, flinty flavours and crisp refreshing acidity. Finishes minerally and mouthwatering. Absolutely at its cusp of age. Now - 2018 94 points

Medium pale colour. Fresh flinty, verbena, lime aromas with flinty notes. Very youthful in aromatic complexity. Generous and flavourful with deep set lemon curd, verbena flavours, fine supple textures and integrated fine acidity. Lively and fresh yet creamy and supple. This is a top Jasper Hill Riesling. Utterly delicious. 12.5% Alc 96 points – Now – 2025

Medium pale colour. Flinty aniseed, lemon curd, herb garden aromas. Expressive wine with flinty lemon curd, herb garden aniseed fruit, savoury oak complexity, some mid palate volume, chalky textures and marked acidity. Still fresh and lively with the reductive notes giving complexity, interest and modernity. Will probably last quite a while given its youthful exuberance. 13% Alc 93 points – Now – 2030
