Don’t be deceived by the light red, almost pinot-ish colour, compared with the intense crimson of its Shiraz sisters. A powerhouse of typical long, forceful mouth coating tannins on the finish, preceded by a strong aroma of strawberries and a savouriness that lingers forever, including some stone fruit hints. 14.0% alc/vol
Tasting notes by Andrew Caillard, MW - 8th August 2017
Medium deep colour. Fresh cola, strawberry, sage aromas with teal leaf notes. Well concentrated wine with strawberry cola flavours, a touch of eucalyptus, sage, fine looseknit chalky sappy tannins and attractive mineral length. Quite muscular in structure but plenty of flesh on the bone. 14% Alc 92 points Now -2025
