Deliciously soft, fruity and less tannic than previous ones, but still with that Italianate savouriness and brick colour of the variety. Very pleased to have it back in the list; some vintages missed - a difficult, shy bearer.14.0% alc/vol
Tasting notes by Andrew Caillard, MW - 8th August 2017
Medium deep colour. Rhubarb strawberry aromas with plum/ prune notes. Well concentrated sinuous wine with generous red fruits, fine supple tannins, underlying savoury dark chocolate notes and long fresh acidity. Finishes al dent e firm and minerally with persistent red fruits. Lovely drinking but lacks a touch of definition. 14% Alc 93 points Now – 2028
