Georgia's Paddock
Nebbiolo (2000)
Tasting Notes
Time of release
From the noble red grape of Piedmont; relatively rare in Australia. An assertive tannic wine with savoury flavours that fill the mouth, giving hints of floral rose, finishing with earthy/meaty notes. More red than the purple of Shiraz. Will probably live for a long time, but it is still early days. Small quantity, therefore on tasting only and not available for purchase. 14.5% alcohol

Medium colour. Wet bitumen/ camomile meaty aromas. Sweet - touch sappy herb notes, fine sinewy tannins. Finishes chalky earthy firm. Builds up brambly dry. Now-2012. 83 points

Medium colour. Red cherry cola, tobacco aromas with strawberry notes. Supple and sweet with red currant strawberry herb flavours, looseknit chalky / lacy textures and long bright acidity. At the time quite a statement but looking a bit lean and minerally. Drink up. 14.5% Alc 87 points Now
