Shiraz / Cabernet Franc (2009)
Tasting Notes
Time of release
Elegance and power in the mouth, with typical brooding depth of garnet red colour. Complexity of delicious ripe cherries and cream with floral perfume. Hallmarks of spicy, long length and supple tannins. Drinkable now, with a great decades-long life ahead. Usual 5% field blend of Cabernet Franc included. 13.5% alc/vol.

Medium deep purple crimson. Lovely araomatic wine with intense blackberry, liquorice, Turkish delight, vanilla aromas. Sweet and bouyant with blackberry, boysenberry fruit, supple rich tannins and savoury, spicy nuances. Finishes firm and long. Beautifully balanced wine, but with decades to go. Minerally notes. 2017 - 2035 95 points

Medium deep colour. Fresh dark cherry, blackberry, roasted coffee aromas with lifted herb/ sage notes. Generously proportion, plummy, dark cherry fruits, fine velvety firm tannins and underlying mocha, grilled nut complexity. Finishes firm with plenty of sweet fruit notes. A very concentrated style with plenty of buoyancy, density and muscular tannin balance. 13.5% Alc 94 points – Now -2040
