Emily's Paddock
Shiraz / Cabernet Franc (2008)
Tasting Notes
Time of release
Exhibits the typical elegance and power of its predecessors, with its French oak underlay imparting a creaminess to the minerality of the spice and long palate. The normal 5% co-fermented Cabernet Franc component augments complexity. 14.0% alc/vol.

Medium crimson purple. Fresh fragrant white pepper, sage, redcurrant aromas. Medium bodied wine with flinty, white pepper, red currant flavours, fine losknit chalky tannins and some spicy, pondwater notes. Finishes chalky and minerally but touch underpowered. Needs a touch of time. 2015 -2024 88 points

Medium deep. Gun flint, red currant, blackberry, graphite aromas. Sweet fruited and generous wine with red currant, dark fruit flavours, graphite flinty smoky nuances, fine long vigourous tannins and mocha oak. Finishes leafy firm with attractive mineral length.
