Emily's Paddock
Shiraz / Cabernet Franc (1998)
Tasting Notes
Time of release
Again, the typical depth of colour is a give-away that this is an authoritative wine. Characterised by its usual complexity, with an almost creamy texture and floral perfume. Perfectly structured with silky tannins derived from both ripe grapes and new French oak. Lots of natural acidity, with an elegant, long finish. Excellent longevity but hard to resist now. 15.5% alc/vol

Deep colour. Fresh dark cherry aromas with some herb garden/ camomile notes. Hint of mint. Lovely sweet dark cherry/ touch bourbon/ malt flavours, dense tough al-dente tannins finishing long and sweet, but chalky firm. Now-2020. 94 points.
