Classic rich dark purple colour; typical powerful earthy spiciness to both aroma and flavour. A big, tannic wine with finesse; long living. Very harmonious, with an extra dimension of fruit adding to the complexity, than previous vintages.

Medium deep crimson. Dry chocolate/ cedar aromas with some herb garden notes. Chocolate/ cedar flavours pervade with dry dense muscular tannins, finishing brambly and dry. Very structured wine. Will hold but not improve. Now-2012. 85 points.

Medium colour. Fresh, intense black cherry, leather, walnutty aromas. Concentrated black cherry, leather walnut flavours and sinewy dry tannins. Still has mid-palate richness and volume. Finishes chalky and sweet fruited. Firm muscular but has richness! Now - 2020 91 points

Medium deep crimson. Intense liquorice dark cherry, mocha aromas with herb garden bay leaf notes. Generous and slinky with dark chocolate, paneforte redcurrant flavours, fine looseknit ripe tannins and mocha notes. Finishes chocolate with a leafy tannin plume. 13% Alc 93 points Now – 2030
