Shiraz / Cabernet Franc (1985)
Time of release
Beautiful colour like the previous wine: bright red. Bouquet undeveloped and vinous. Full bodied palate, clean drying tannins, high natural acidity. Very well balanced but needs time in the bottle> The 2% cabernet franc portion complements its complexity. Still in very limited supply, generally only from the cellar.

Varnishy, amontillado-like wine with very developed sous bois, walnutty dried leafy notes. The plate is much better with some sweet fruit notes, fine lacy textures and bitter cola notes. Finishes lacy firm with some mineral length. Well past its prime, but holding, Drink soon. Alc not known. 87 points Now
